hey again, naut. so basically, just pure 'abstinence' isn't it? simply don't talk to anyone. who knows, there might be a list brewing somewhere that lists the '10 ways of how NOT TO LOOK at ...' Political is right. correctness, far from.

I don't often have anything to say on this post. It is good and you say it all. Now I have to speak out.....Don't go away!

I wold say unbelievable...but, I've kind of lost that concept of late.  I remember when man first walked on the moon....rather than amazement, my thought was "what took them so long".  Connection?  My perspective has shifted.....now it's like how much longer until we have abolished all genuine communication and retreated into little camps of like thinkers we have carefully screened via....ummm, something like what we send each other in emails...we won't talk about it, we'll write it and hope the wrong people don't see it and get offended.  It will be like here.....as long as it's not face-to-face, we'll often tell the truth about our reactions....but even here, one often wonders.  Of course, that's factoring out the folks who like to stir just to splash.

I certainly understand having to take breaks....put other priorities first....but, don't ever underestimate your value to this community regardless of what numbers say.  Timmy has always obsessed about the numbers....still does....I love him anyway.....just think it's a bit juvenile......everyone knows numbers lie.  However, I don't think you meant you're leaving, just otherwise engaged....so, I'll just wait.  Cream always rises to the top (just like Timmy came back, so will you).

I too would miss your writing, but at times there are other priorities. Difficult to find the balance between free speech and cultural sensitivity.

I'll add to the chorus of people who would miss your posts, Naut.  And, I went back to the original Christian Science Monitor blog and by truncating it, Pipes makes it sound worse than it is.  For instance - "Tolerance" - the Monitor says is not a "strong enough" word for what has to happen.  As for "assimilation" - which is a "dirty word" even in Jewish circles - he suggests "integration"  I do agree, though, that we shouldn't have to self-sensor these rather benign words at the risk of angering the Muslims.  That is totally ridiculous.  Mal

I am surprised that tolerance is on there! I am not sure why, but I think it is so important to be tolerant of one another! I am shaking my head, so absurd! Shelly

ROTFLMAO......in a sad sort of way......
Lord knows we are now a government that is afraid to even appear to offend someone......I'm sure our leader would choose to "take a bow" on this one.......

If you are checking numbers you may have more than three. Some read who are not sure what to comment. You are so right about this post the man is empty headed from the ankles up... We will miss you but one does what one needs to do usually. :)

One of the three just came back to read.  I've been on kind of a spring break from blogit for the most part.  And, I don't think I'm really finished with that break yet.  LOL
