I see why you had to have the painting.
The shades of blue lend a note of operatic melancholy. A friend told me the lighting in an opera is either blue (for the sad scenes) or gold (for the happy ones) and since then I've been more aware of these colors. There's so much going on it just grabs the eye.

I could find newness in this painting daily. It is so magnificat. I am wondering about the little wheels. He looks sad yes as if he were on a mission, exciting though it may be, it is a weighty one. I love both of them.

A very interesting painting. Yes, I think his eyes are sad - he dreams, but even in his dream he recognizes that the mechanical device holds him as much as he holds it...

Sorry I haven’t dropped by in a while.  That crazy thing called life kind of took over.  The piece is most interesting and the eyes – well, I saw mindful determination; neither haunting nor soothing but more of a searching mood.   Good purchase….

Yes, the jester looks dreamy, lost in thought.  I, too, love the butterflies.  I saw those exactly in Butterfly World outside of Ft. Lauderdale!  We, too, collect art and crafts, Vogue....Mal

Nice pictures! Interesting painting. The funny thing is that I have started some time ago, a book about the desire, as human, to fly like birds. I continue writing it when I have a minute....
