Great pictures! It's a wonderful experience when a plant flowers unexpectedly. It happened with our cactus several years ago, and she has done it every year since.
Excellent that J has a teacher he likes - it makes all the difference!
I see your spring is in full swing - I haven't even been on my bike yet...
