A few months ago I flew on a plane to Nashville and the plane was low on passengers and watched as a stewardess politely asked a very heavy man if she could escort him to another seat to balance out the weight of the plane. He co-operated nicely but it was easy to see he was embarrassed

So, what do you suggest be done about it? (them?)
It a not-very-up-lifting subject to be pondering this morning. I think I'll go out and look at the flowers before the carbon emissions kill them off.

And that's not even the worst of it! It's becoming clear that we will have to take steps to distribute fat people evenly around the globe! Too many of them in one area will lead to a sudden tilting of the Earth's axis, with unforeseeable consequences...
