That was unexpected. I anticipated a first love situation,
and found instead it was a poignant appeal to sieze the day before we lose each other. Nicely done.

Margaret... this is so sad... so beautifully sad.  Reading you I just realized that the thought of leaving one's love is even harsher than the one to be left by him... sometimes I am afraid of what would happen if my time came first, for one never knows... and I almost hope and pray he passes first... so that I am sure  he is taken care of and he will have my hand to hold... on the other hand... I know I would love to hold his as my soul departs...I am so selfish... Poems that touch one's core are the ones that live forever... This one is one of those .
