I enjoyed your post, especially the part about all of the good thing that have made you happy as of late--like your son winning a prize on the lottery and the Tarheels winning the tourney. You're right. ., they did it with relative ease.
As for people forgetting what got this country into its financial mess, you couldn't be more right. Bush was an absolute rotten president, and his failure to block the Democrats from experimenting with social engineering through our housing market caused the current WORLDWIDE recession. That, and his failure to recognize that high gas prices would be just the igniter of the whole mess.
As the very Democratically-held Congress moves forward with dramatically raising once again energy prices on every single MIDDLE CLASS household amidst a very bad economy, you might not find yourself questioning why some people are reluctant to "change". Unlike Bush who simply didn't veto liberal efforts, our new prez is actively pushing for the movement.
Let's not even talk about using the housing market for experimental social engineering. It's failure caused a world-wide recession. So, people who feel that we shouldn't use our taxation system as a method of social engineering experiments might also be a mistake are now branded "stupid troublemakers"?? Hmmmm.
