You really did have a lot to get off your chest!  I think it's awesome that your son writes with both hands!  It should never be discouraged.  I had ADHD growing up, too, and my mom didn't want to put me on meds.  It was challenging to be able to sit still for so long, all through school, but my mom was always encouraging and helpful.  I never did go on meds, and I'm glad because I think it would have messed with my creativity.  I've always loved the art of story, and that was how my mom strung me along through school.  I wanted to be able to read stories on my own, and write down my own ideas.  Enough of my reminiscing, though.  Great entry, you are a good writer.
