I just left the following comment to calmcantey, this would also be my answer to you as well...
I know exactly what you're saying, and agree with what you said about them not knowing where we are coming from. But please keep in mind, that when I first started on blogit, (which was only a few days ago) my blog post had nothing to do with atheist, or even close to it. I have not once went to these atheist blogs and made any comments whatsoever until they decided to come at me with these degrading comments about the God I serve.This whole thing started when "kooka" left that horrible comment on my "Easter" blog that talked about the pagan side of Easter. Kooka called it "propaganda" and all manner of horrible things was said about the Lord. If I were to stand back and not comment back, or give Scripture to show them why something is true and why something is not, and defend the Lord of whom I worship, then what would I be standing for. Someone has to speak up. Some has to tell them the truth. For I myself was also once a sinner, and I'm so glad that the Lord did not give up on me. I'm glad I heard the truth. And the difference be me and the atheist is that I accepted the truth and have been saved, and of course, they have not accepted anything of the sort. I would be happy if they would just agree to disagree and stay off of my comment page. But as long as they are attacking me and saying things such as..."your just sitting in the US blogging about your ridiculous christian god"(or whatever adjective it was that they used there before the word 'christian')then I will continue to defend it. If the atheist can stand up for 'nothing' basically,(because they don't believe in God) and they do it so strongly, then how much more should we stand up for the Lord of Heaven in whom we believe and know for a fact does exist. I'll be posting a blog to all of the atheist in a couple of hours. This will be my attempt at putting an end to this. If they wish not to get comments from me, then I will suggest to them to stop attacking my Lord and Saviour on my comment page.

God needs no defence team! What you do is for you and your conscience. Everyone retains the same right. Defeating atheists will not get them to God or you to heaven!

I appreciate your concern sir, and I have prayed about this. And Jesus rebuked sinners when they tested Him, He did not back down, he just kept going. I'm handeling these people by not backing down and cowering to there ridiculous statements about my Lord. If they do not like what I write, then they should stop reading it. This whole thing started with Kooka leaving that horrible comment on my page. Up until that moment, I had not been writing these other things back and forth to these atheist. They came to my page, and degraded my Lord and Saviour, and I in return are rebuking them. I'm sorry you'd rather not stand with me any longer. For I had great confidence in you. I've been ganged up on by the atheist, and if I'm the last one left standing, then so be it.

My friend i understand how you feel but try asking yourself one question what would JESUS do??? really please think on that. ask GOD what you should do how to handle these type of people. Thats what i do.

Testings always separates the men from the boys. Gideon got quite a surprise when he said, "ok men, everyone who is afraid hit the trail." When he saw 22,000 of his men going home to mama, it was not what he expected. With ten thousand left, God said there are still too many for me to get the glory. A second test left on 300 men with a passing grade, and God said "now this is what I'm talking about." God is able to save by many or few. I tell you my friend, before the rooster crows there will be many who like Simon Peter who flee the scene. We have to stand and quit ourselves like men! One day we will be given the final exam, and I certainly want to be prepared and pass the test. Blessings!
