ZenMom - I'm concerned as well - for the future of humanity
Is this the stage that so many people are only capable of achieving? . . . deferring all things concerning religious beliefs and spiritual matters to cattle sacrificing, superstitious and woefully ignorant men from the ancient world? . . . will there ever come a time when people finally realize they are accomplishing nothing more than proliferating a grand delusion? . . . by the looks of things, it won't be anytime soon.

Gomedome
Something similar I wrote in my blog today, gome. But this one takes the cake "we will have another demonstration of how so many people support a notion of freedom of religious expression but get their panties in a wad,
. . . when it is not their religious viewpoint being expressed". Hahahahaaahh. I couldn't agree with you more.

Re: metalrat - I thought it was Karl Marx who said that
Gome...I think you might be right. It's been a long time since I've read either.

metalrat - I thought it was Karl Marx who said that
But it is nonetheless true.

hazel_st_cricket -there is nothing wrong at all with questioning everything
Everything needs to be questioned. Our penchant to accredit ancient man with some form of arcane knowledge and authority in matters of religion and faith is baffling.

Like Freud said...
...religion is the opiate of the masses.

I do agree, many think "their" way is the "only" way.
" Hell " will certainly be full if only one religion out of so many is the only "way". I am so confused lately, I don't know what I believe any more. I question everything, everything... It would be wonderful to have faith in something. I do not condemn anyone for their beliefs, but I don't buy it all, either. I got a kick out of the beginning of this post...leave the money on the dresser...lol.
