Some days I use the “reciprocal” approach to reading – reading those who have been kind enough to drop by my blog. But on other days, when I have more time, I do a little exploring and stumble upon some wonderful new posts by new or returning writers. So I’m kind of with Taps that you might miss out on some interesting stuff by simple reading those who read you. But… having been a single, working parent I totally get how time is precious.

I can relate to this my dear
those of us with precious little time on our hands can find it difficult to keep up with all our favourite posts; having said that I do have my fave faves and I wouldn't miss reading even if sometimes time does not permit commenting but fortunately we can now leave a sign we have visited! Many blessings and thanks

I try and stay in touch with all my readers
subject to the time I have; but time is more flexible than some would have us believe - I'm sure you've had two bend the walls with two children to look after as well as a full-time job so good for you for continuing to contribute here as well.

I, too, have measured time. I agree with your decision. You have priorities and they are vastly important. I would rather have you here for a shorter tie and more comfort with how you are managing your life. God bless you.

I have a feeling that you will miss out on some good stuff if you stick to that resolve.

Sometimes, i do that, as well, but usually I just do my thing.
I know that some people read but don't comment, too. I know it depends on how much time I've got. But I always try to read everyone who comments first, then I just read whoever I may come to, whether they read me or not. Time is the main thing. i understand. Have a great day.

My only rule is ...um well I don't have any, only to do what I need to do first. I didn't post for a month, had few visits apart from you ;-) for a couple of weeks and I read all my regulars and some others silently. I was and am busy and just do what works for me at the time. No rules. A woman's first rule should always be - nurture yourself first which I am not as good at as I should be.

Symphony, I often find work (shiftwork) gets in the way of blogging, and
especially at this time of year, a wife who does Income Taxes for about 100 people.

....I guess we all get here by hook or by crook, some days for longer periods than others.

Hi Symph,
Like you, I am here in fits and starts, never really away, but never really here either, unable to read much, let alone write - it seems that the bagatelle that is the quotidian has a nasty habit of forcing itself upon us, robbing us of the truly meaningful part of our existence, our sojourn in Blogit...
