...you will still feel like you forgot something, and if you do, you'll be 30,000 feet in the air when you realize it! lol...or not.
The weather in Maryland has been mild the past few days, but, since it's still only April, be prepared for anything!

Ah, but Naut--
Which fraction? How can we know before hand which things will be useful and which merely burdensome? I want a Bag of Holding... one of those items common to common fantasy, that looks like a handbag but has room for absolutely everything--and never gets heavy!
I'm going back over the stuff before we leave the house in an hour...

Like you, I used to pack too much, taking things I might need, in addition to those I will need! And then the possibilities are endless. Though I have disciplined myself, at least when it comes to air travel, and forced myself to travel light. But in addition to my one big bag and my carry-on I have this vest with millions of pockets, where sometimes I have to search for hours before I find what I want...Of course, when I travel by car, still my preferred mode, I can load up my trunk and my backseat to my heart's content...
And when I get to wherever I am going, I typically use only a tiny fraction of what I dragged along...

One woman’s midden, another woman’s treasure…. Get packing! I usually do 2 packs - one being like a dress rehearsal and I look at the pile realizing I've set aside far too much stuff. Then I thin it down. Sounds like you don't have time for a dress rehearsal though...
