I think my kids pretend they are going to cash them in

No we just recycle them. I remember in Aust. once saving them for several
years, taking them to the can place, and it not paying the gas to get there and back.

to me its not worth it

My mother, sister and I just recycle them. Right now we only go through two cans at the most. That's way too long to keep sodas around. We'd get ants.

We save ours and give them to my Mom's friend's brother, who is
mentally challenged. He appreciates it so much.

Re: shelly_b
My brother keeps a trash bag right by the kitchen trash.  Everytime someone empties a pop can it goes straight into the bag or you'll get yelled at.  LOL

My brother saves his cans to cash out..
even though it takes forever it's worth it.  Every little bit helps :)

My kids used to, until they were no longer allowed to put sand in them before crushing!!

posted by TIMMYTALES on March 30, 2009 at 10:06 AM | link to this | reply

Hell no! lol
It takes a ton...literally...to make any money off of them, though, it would be good to do it for environmental purposes, but, they probably sort that stuff out at the trash place, anyway...I hope.
