I know where
that tongue has been at least after a walk and it ain't pretty... my doggie knows I don't like to be licked and so refrains, which makes me love him even more. Hubby doesn't mind the licking and gets a liberal dose.

I was at Rocky's while ago (an older Davy). I can't stand getting licked. I don't like wet either. But he is so cute and friendly with beautiful eyes. I always hope I'm not offending him by backing off from his exciting advances. He is such a good dog for Phil who doesn't seem to really understand the idea of "gentle".

What fun! But, like you and Hazel, I don't like to be licked by a dog either! Their mouths are not particularly sanitary, as far as I know, which is not suprising, seeing where they lick themelves constantly, lol. On the other hand, cats have been used to sanitize wounds by licking them, as I've read somewhere.
But in a few days I will have Jag again with me, one of our 'family dogs', a very intelligent black poodle who, among other things, absolutely insists on sleeping on a blanket next to my bed, going to bed there when I do, and staying there until I wake up...

Getting dog licked always grosses me out, as well...
they just get done licking their ass, then wanna lick ya in the face. I have had a few dogs in my time and I loved every one of them like family. I guess, that's when I lighten up on the licking thing, when I feel like the dog, who is doing the licking is family and I love them. If I'm not in love with the dog...please, don't lick me...lol
