Sir Strat, my friend,
Time to MOVE! As you know, I grew up in Chicago so I know cold. That is why Spitfire's road of life took her to Florida many moons ago. I am still enjoying the so-called winters. hehe. (Are my horns showing?) WINTER SUCKS! I hated every minute of it. Hope you have defrosted and are content again. No worries. Spring is on the horizon!

Well, Kabu, I know it would be groovy to be your neighbor
and the scenery is probably awesome, but....it's cold! Can't do the snow blowing. Ya'll need to move south to God's country and enjoy the perpetual allergens!

Well, Guy, I gotta say,
I heartily agree w2ith Drew Carey when he leans out of his apartment window on a freezing Cleveland winter day with a can of Right Guard in his hand with the button gushing: "Screw the grandkids; I'm cold now!"

Strat clever, talented writer that you are and yet you cannot seem to see

that you shoould move North to Canada.

Why? Because the weather here is constant. Cold, bloody cold and Fureezing cold. No hot/cold to contend with so the house is always warm, you rug up with layers to go outside and boots and all and best of all it's so damn cold no nasty virus bugs can live in the area and I haven't had even a sniffly cold since I got here That's 16 months. Then the Spring is milder so last Spring is my first ever without hayfever. See, this really is a great place to be.

Yeah! Where was global warming, when we needed it?

   Strat,

Lately, when I have fuel for my two-litre Pepsi bong, my nose begins running a marathon race! Does this mean that I am developing an alergy? Dog forbid! After my prediliction for romping with wild women was outlawed by Marilyn, (!) I need to have SOMETHING left to me, to live for!

My buddy Craig has a nose that would make any Roman envious, and he used to claim that he could pack $100 worth of something, into each nostril. This was before his heart attacked him, and he necessarily switched to other less (or not) dangerous hobbies.

Ain't life a hateful female dog?

             Guy

Hiya, Mimi!
No, we didn't go that far -- stuffing the cracks -- at least not until the summer when they finally insulated.

I'm guessing Montana's climate is not much different from, say, Mars...

Hiya, Cricket!
Yeah, Claritin is about to become my favorite red vegetable.

At least we haven't had the snow, Tim.
But the temp extremes have been a beeotch. That Rockets version of Oh Well freakin smokes!

Strat, your poor, poor nose!  Pablo is in much the same boat, blowing his honker in the next room as I type this.  We, however, are in beautiful balmy Montana.  So one can expect such nasal blockages to occur.  Especially once the pine cones bloom.  Oh boy...

It's funny how everything is relative.  That house you stayed in sounds very much like my great-grandmother's old cabin in Michigan.  By chance, did you have to stuff the walls with scraps of whatever to keep the wind out?

OOuuuhhhh....I still shiver thinking about it.

Great post...sounds beautiful where you live. I'm ready for Spring. We've been having lovely weather here, as well.

A couple of days ago it was in the 70's, today, a foot and a half of snow!! Crazy!!

BTW, I don't know if you remember me telling you about a group called the Rockets? I told you about their remake of "Oh Well" and how good it was. It is playing right now in my lounge, you should check it out and tell me what you think
