Merkie I felt this one deeply....life won't wait, we're bound for the end.

merkie
How wonderful is this poem?!  What always fascinates me is how many young people look at their elders with such disdain....do they think they will somehow escape time's meaures?  That observation affords me some of my biggest laughs!  Otherwise, like Troosha, I try to focus on the good parts of hanging around this planet longer.....I am definitely smarter in a lot of areas.....well, I think I am! (regardless of what my grandcandies think!)

We all age...
we all don't do it as gracefully as you.

Ahh, yes, but would we really want to go back in time to when the knees worked and the face was without wrinkles.  Maybe but for the most part I’m enjoying each right of passage – aching bones and all.  Love how you spin your thoughts for us, Merkie – a craftswoman you are!

"Cotton balls of futile tears"....wonderful imagery! Old age--a reality of life, is so vividly described.

Oh my!  Not a pretty image to look forward to, but it happens to everyone.
The way of all life.  Well written.
