AN AIR TAX! I knew this would happen someday!

   Naut,

There has never, never been a "temporary tax" that didn't become permanent! As soon as something becomes popular enough for politicians to notice it, they smell tax, toll, licensing, regulation, fine and/or fee, money. Snowmobiles, bicycles, bridges, homes, parks, inheritances, income, "value added," ferrys, airline travel, cruise ship vacations, paved roads, television, internet access, music downloads, fast foods, pay toilets, and now the air we breathe and cemetery visits! Government greed, death, taxes, weather and degradation of the quality of human life and official corruption are  NOW the only constants in human existance.

I think Kiev's mayor has a cousin running in Mundane's upcoming
mayoral election. The guy claims to be trained in police procedure by an official St. Louis area training facility -- a friend checked into it and he did get certified. He took half-day course required to buy a handgun.
