Re: I write most at work
Hi Lionreign.. I used to do a little bit of that too when I was still working.. the poems were alright, they helped me relax for a few minutes.. but there was a time when I had an idea for a story and it turned out to be longer than I thought.. it caused my supervisor to walk back and forth between my desk and hers with a sharp look and raised eyebrows

.. then she found out that I wasn't over-concentrating on the bank reconciliation statement! Ouch!

.. Haha..

Re: sam444
Ideas often come during the day while I'm rushing trying to get as many things as possible done, but the real things still only come at night.. Not much luck in trying to reverse

I write most at work
where I blend into the background amid the angry bustle of work and allow my mind a momentary freedom from it's salaried shackles... but woe betide the person that interrupts me

I like to be alone to write too! I don't care for interruptions! Good luck with trying to reverse! I hope you succeed to a degree, but I have a feeling you will write at night! sam

Re: orcalion
Hi, Troosha. I know how it feels.. sometimes I fall asleep while putting the kids to bed, then woken up by an idea.. I have to finish it before they are up again in the morning..
Thank you for visiting..

I think many writers are most inspired either in the dark hours of the night or the wee hours of the morning. I know I often creep out of bed while it’s still dark and quickly write down those creative thoughts reeling around my head before the light of day steals them away.

Re: Night writing
Thank you, Mariposa ..
I guess the the perfect time is different for each writer, but the essence is the same.. we need the perfect time to write..
Aren't we glad that we still have that nick of time available to us..

Night writing
I feel like you, but I usually cannot write at night, because of our large family and my husband keeps waking up... When everyone is gone, that's when I write. I really can relate to what you are saying. You explained it very well. I hope that made sense.
