Self censorship can get too scarey so worry less.
What a full life and schedule. You make me tired but happy when I read you.

Regarding Number 25--
Your lack of intent to push this man's buttons doesn't mean there was no intent for them to be pushed, nor should it be assumed that pushing them was to his detriment-- sometimes a boil needs to be lanced. Healing isn't always comfortable at first.
I think you are needlessly chagrined over this event.
What would be a gaffe at a party could be a healing in the spiritual context.

Very interesting post---I enjoyed reading the history of Mothering Sunday and simnel cake, and of course, the quiz questions! Thanks for stopping by! God bless. Nita.

That incident about numbering children and number 25 reminded me of a boy I knew in my teens who lived in a Dr.Barnardo's home and he could only be described as very, very fragile and he never talked about what it was like to grow up there, or what had happened to make it necessary.
Wonderful post, thank you.

LOL and I know that I shouldn't but really how were you to know that NO. 25
would be in the congregation. Bloody bit of bad luck that is what I say, but it seems that you enjoyed your mothering luncheon. Good luck with the Christenings,

It amazes me that in these days quintuplets and sextuplets are no big thing. In my time, one child, only, was expected, and delivered. This is a really messed up world! Soon 10 babies might be the nom!

Great point about the baptism. The amount of kids from the first child to the second does increase.

It is amazing how an innocent comment can come to haunt! Wow! I love the fact that wine, flowers and chocolates made a fine complement to your day---very acceptable indeed! sam
