Very hard situation for you. Is it difficult talking to her when she's not in a bad mood, I wonder?

she has always had learning disablities, and its hard for her to do a lot of things, she just recently failed something she wanted very much at first and that is xray tech. She just takes it out on me, and she talked to him (bf) in the same manner.

its hard for kids to make it on their own here in CA and I do put up with a lot from her, but she is my baby and I have allowed things to go on. Maybe I didnt give the food a chance but it was just srange items mixed together. Not being a traveler and a hermit I dont get out much

Ummm… I wouldn’t bash yourself too much, Lustor. Perhaps you didn’t do anything wrong at all while sing-parenting her and she simply has fiery personality (though talking to one’s mother disrespectfully is never acceptable). Who knows what’s making her angry and quick to fire, but more often than not it’s not something we’ve done. At 22 there are any number of outside influences that may be fueling her anger or frustration. Even finding her direction or path in this challenging world can be full of disappointments and she’s simply taking it out on you.

Is she still living in your house? If so, why? It's probably hard to do and a little late, but you need to tell her in no uncertain terms that a mother, above everything else, deserves respect! On another note: thank you for reading my posts so often. Now, I'm just curious: what kind of food do you like?

I thought you got good advice when they said to put your room off limits
unless invited, we all need some space of our own. And if you can't do that it is ok too. When it comes to your children you will have to figure it out.

as you said you spoilt her and now she is just a brat BUT sh'e old enough
to start having some thought for her Mum and your room should be out of bounds to anyone uninvited into it. But listen to me for I spoilt my baby boy and he has thrown me out of his life forever.

no you are not.... people are responsible for their own actions... she is 22 older enough to know better--- she is choosing to act this way. Set boundaries and be prepared to stick to them.... tough love works
