About the knees - (I'm going backwards in time here) - there are
exercises to strenghten them, especially if it's a case of ligaments...

Yep, Spring is the time for getting the winter joints loosened up. Around here, there aren't very many really up and down trails, but anything is better than sitting inside.

that's the plan, Sam...
but I may have already 'sprung' my knees--knee-bends, they say, are really not good for the knees.

Way to plan ahead! Benefits now, a wholesome habit and you will enjoy your travel destinations much more! I applaud you for I doubt I would get myself in gear to accomplish what you are doing! sam

Walking is a wonderful way to keep in shape (or so I hear). I, too, need to make the resolution. My daughter walks miles on the treadmill each day. Your picture is beautiful. Peaceful. Nice post.
