I love english history it has been a life's passion for me.
where you live, all that wonderful historical past, yet so peaceful now, thank God it is.

I concur with Bhaskarda ! When da is added to a name it means big

trying to imagine...
you, strolling, with anorak tied round your waist, followed by other excess garments, until polo, vest, etc, are riding on your hips...  Many of us do carry our excess around the hips and waist, but we can't just hang it on a hook when we get where we're going!
