RedStatesMan -typical of all of your comments, you elevate your nonsensical

worldview above that of all others.

You speak of an underground, strategies and an impending victory, just what the hell are you talking about?

Thank you GomeD...hope EVERYONE does that, at least for the reason you cited, but hopefully in the spirit in which my comment was written, peace!

myrrhage - thanx for stopping in
Yeah, some of the comments are "interesting"

Perfect!

"Awhile back, a young lady arrived here intent on spreading the sacred word."

I can not imagine a more perfect location to spread the sacred word than here. Always nice to stop in to the underground to see what strategy is being used next. Although it is so very nice to see your blogs which have a high number of comments...it's a great gauge on how close we are to victory!

gomedome,
I have to tell you I thoroughly enjoyed this post, and the comments following it.  Priceless stuff.

Soul_Builder101 - I consider that a good thing
The fact that you will be taking a bit of time to think about a response bodes well for you saying something intelligent. I know you can do it, I've seen faint glimpses of it before.

ash_pradhan - your comment is a lot to think about

I will give it the answer it deserves (considering your effort to write it) in a post.

The time to object is now, before I write it.

That answer will be known in the future! I have other concerns right now!

Re: Re: ash_pradhan - Re: We are all learning...
Dear GomeD & SoulB, I find both you gentlemen's comments below, subsequent to my earlier comment here under subject "We are all learning", to be quite rational. It is obvious that both of you have had some very strong childhood experiences that have shaped your minds' growth, and have led you to become well-read experts in your chosen fields. As a result, both of you have a lot to share / teach the rest of us and the community at large. Assuming that's the real purpose in your hearts, and there is no reason to believe otherwise, I hope you both will not lose sight of consideration & moderation, and focus on educating us rather than on tearing each other apart, which is counter-productive, as each of you present some views that are well-researched and rational, and some that are not...none of the bloggers here is dumb, new or old, and each has a sincere desire to learn and to help, no matter what their individual perspecrtives...to that extent we all need to be thankful for having this kind of readership...I very much appreciate both of yours' expertise and incessant efforts to explain things to us the way you see them..There are infinite perspectives and treating others' with consideration & moderation leads to growth for us all...I shall look forward to many more dialogues particularly on subjects of general, and at times complex/ perplexing, interest for most...PEACE :)!

ZenMom - same here

Outside of Blogit, I have spent a lifetime surrounded by religious loonies, my family are catholics, my wife's family are all fundies. During the first couple of decades of marriage I used to tolerate being harassed by family members to have me pay homage to their invisible friends. One day about 10 years ago I just stopped tolerating them on the basis that in the advancement of their religious beliefs over the years, they had been completely inconsiderate and intolerant themselves. I began clubbing them over the head (figuratively).

When the message they are attempting to convey is condensed to its purest form: "be like us and blindly believe a long list of impossible whoppers concocted by superstitious, cattle sacrificing primitives . . . or you will be deemed less than us"

. . . it really is not worthy of anything more than a good clubbing.  So the word "retreat" as I used it in my earlier comment actually means; leaving before I become overwhelmed with the desire to cuff them around a bit.

elinjo- Re: ZenMom - "I'd rather they park their crazy bus somewhere else"

We are often faced with that choice as members of a public forum. Ultimately we are balancing considerations in what we find offensive, inane or downright stupid, against the rights of the author to express their viewpoint. At the same time, anyone posting in a public forum assumes the responsibility of reasonable social expectation, in the same manner as within any other community, cybor or otherwise.

Most times I just move on, there is nothing to be gained by attempting to change someone's viewpoint but upon occasion I react. Always against my better judgement and always with the full knowledge that I will likely be inviting some measure of grief.

Soul_Builder101 - as usual your entire perspective is imaginary

I left one comment directed at a new person because their posts are dripping with childlike ignorance. The extent of that one comment directed at them was some correction and some disagreement. Your suggesting that it was an attack is nothing more than an exaggeration.

When you say this; "You cannot ever create a more profound case than I can!" . . . . you are kidding right?

Every last one of your arguments and conclusions that I have ever read have all been constructed in exactly the same manner. You utilize shreds of fact at your convenience, primarily as a means of solidifying impossible speculative scenarios to support any number of your unhealthy delusions. When you wander into the realm of science you embarrass yourself but you do not have enough knowledge about what you speak to know this.

So like I said . . . "you are kidding right?"

When you decide to mob newbies who are innocent to your progroms....I will be here to defend them. And you can attack me too! Who cares? You cannot ever create a more profound case than I can! Be warned Zen Mom! Don't attack juniors! Attack me! You all have been unblocked months ago!

Re: ash_pradhan - Re: We are all learning...
Of course no offense was intended, and thank you for sensing that just from our brief encounters here, as that just is not my style...when it comes to religious & political opinions, most people tend to come short on consideration & moderation, Americans are no exception, but that does not mean that rational folks need to lose theirs, peace :)

elinjo

I respect your opinion. I understand it. I have been that "retreater" most of my life. But, it's getting ridiculous here on blogit (and in American society in general). We need MORE voices of reason to balance the rhetoric of the fundamentalists. It's just IGNORANT for someone to questions facts such as EVOLUTION. And, when someone quotes the bible, I want to puke. I was raised on the bible (catholic) and the way christians here cherry pick their quotes makes me cringe. The bible is FILLED w/ hate and MULTIPLE examples of a vengeful god.

Okay, now I'm stressed. Gotta go meditate.

(Incidentally, I NEVER even consider "clicks" or "earnings" here on blogit. It's inconsequential........amounts to zilch. My right (and responsibility) to express my opinion cannot be bought...especially for the pennies available here.)

Re: ZenMom - "I'd rather they park their crazy bus somewhere else"
'I generally retreat from their presence.' I tend to do that too, when I encounter blogs that I find difficult to accept. After all why click and help them to increase their earnings?

ZenMom - "I'd rather they park their crazy bus somewhere else"

My sentiments exactly. And I might add that if someone is intent on authoring blogs in a public forum illustrating what are at best, infantile perspectives on the validity of ancient religious mythology; there are a number of responsibilities they inherit and reasonable expectations they concede to. We all have the right to voice our opinions, crazy is not granted an exemption simply because it praises fictional religious icons. Nor do inconsistent diatribes against science voiced from a position of ignorance, warrant any special consideration because they support popular misconception.

When all is said and done however, I generally retreat from their presence. Clubbing them too hard has proven too many times that their heads are filled with marshmellows. It makes a hell of a mess when it comes squishing out of their ears. They have also been known to get so wound up that they spin into orbit, or come crashing down in flames like the Hindenberg.

ash_pradhan - Re: We are all learning...
I'm not going to take offence to your comment because I am certain that none was intended but I have always shown consideration to other Blogit members since the day I arrived here. If I have learned anything from being here so long and conversing primarily with Americans about religious opinions, it is that to expect any form of consideration or moderation in return is inevitably going to lead to disappointment.

In general, I agree with you. However, when it comes to god/religion, especially the rants of the fundy's, I'd rather they park their crazy bus somewhere else.  When I came across the blog you are referring to I thought to myself "jesus christ.......not another one".

(Then again, maybe I'm spending too much time on pz myer's pharyngula http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/ website and getting too edgy.......I'll think about it.)
