Worthwhile debate.
We can probably all agree that the world is very far from perfect.

I am sceptical about solving the world's problems by applying one religion in particular's solution. This tends to create greater problems than it solves.I think it would be more helpful for us to take a comparative view of world religions and thereby we are likely to find that we all have much more in common than we think we have.

Your analysis about greed being the root of all evil is very relevant in my opinion. Our resources are scarce and we need to share them not selfishly hoard them.

You have started a very interesting and worthwhile discussion and I hope other bloggers will join in.

Thank you for your opinion. Personally I am not religious, but that very well could be the answer :)

What is wrong with the world?
It's in the Bible.  From the fall of man, to when Jesus died to redeem man.  But, God gives each person a free will, he does not want robots.  Because of this many people choose evil and greed and selfishness. The more evil in hearts, the worse it will get.  But we all have a choice to choose God.  There's a lot more that could be said, but that is part of the answer I think.
