They are loud! I can't imagine having one. I have had to learn not to swear around my 18 month old...I would have to watch EVERYTHING I said around a bird, too! Can you imagine?

Parrot-speak!
Spitfire,
Once while visiting a high school friend, I heard what sounded like an elderly person calling, "Herman! Here Herman! Come here boy" Larry's dog awoke, struggled to his feet and went into the next room. He returned, looking disgusted, and then he returned to his cushion to resume his nap. Curious, I looked into the next room only to find it unoccupied, but for a very pleased with himself looking parakeet! I laughed about this heartily! Larry told me that poor Herman never learned to just ignore the bird, because he was a talented mimic.

I use to hate it when the kids did that at school
and you know they were doing it on purpose! I so wanted to tell those kids to shut the F%^$#% UP!! But I really didn't want to lose my job at the time. LOL

BTW, I love the Law of Attraction philosophy and material...I read it every day, in fact and also have a CD from Ester and Jerry Hicks...saw the Secret, too...oh and the lady I was referring to in my blog? She has seen the Secret, and obviously doesn't get it as she's still repeating the same store...she is like your neighbor, the parrot, hahahaha
