Separation of Church & State
True, while the phrase "separation of Church and State" does not appear in the Constitution, the principle is clear. Amendment I states:  "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion OR prohibiting the free exercise thereof:..."  This is the only "dual purpose" amendment; it protects the rights of people to practice AND prevents the government from promoting it.  As far as "separation" of the Church and the State; it's clear; hands off!!!

Corbin
A dangerous development! Even though I am not a church goer, I would certainly raise my voice in protest...

Re: Whoa, that's insane...I'm sure the Pope won't be happy about that as he

What do the people of Connecticut expect? They have elected liberals/democrats since the 1800's. Stupid is, as stupid does! Gee, what a shock, liberals against the church, wow, did some of us need a brick to fall on our heads.

That's is just another move towards communism. Strip their guns, then their religion then take over their banks, then let the stock market go broke; is there really this huge majority of people out there this brain dead? IT WILL GET WORSE.

Whoa, that's insane...I'm sure the Pope won't be happy about that as he
and his institution usually like it the other way around.  Despite my thoughts on that, I totally agree that this is very dangerous to the future of Protestant churches and ALL religious systems that are organized and attend a building!
