With regards to embryonic knowledge, didn't Muhammad's wives have a lot of miscarriages? Perhaps he observed the fetuses from those, which he might have because of the trauma of the failed pregnancy for the wife and him, and came to some astute conclusions. Being illiterate in his time did not mean being a dummy, nor was acumen as compartmentalized as we like to make it today. The great poet Homer was, like Muhammad, illiterate. And it is entirely likely that a great poet can also be a great scientist, as we see in Khayyam. All in all, I am inclined to view Muhammad as having been brilliant rather than the product of his mind being a miracle.

Very informative! This is all new to me. Yet, God has not stopped talking through his own servants. Which is why I do not like people designated as last messenger or only son. God speaks to and thru whom he wants when he wants.
