Do you know what a nudnik is? A person who is a bore or a nuisance. And a phudnik? A phudnik is a bore or a nuisance with a Ph.D.
So accept yourself and your dad for what you have achieved in life with or without paper qualifications.

When I was in Haiti, a Missionary doctor from the United States taught his children everything he knew. They had NO degress...no licenses. You don't need one to practice in Haiti. But they did surgery and were incredible at it! Does the paper make a difference. I don't think so. Anyone can learn anything if they are willing.

Lies like truth are relative... Does a paper make a person more knowledgeable ? Maybe the knowledge acquired was enough for your Dad and he considers himself as having a "degree" of knowledge in accounting. I know people that know more than Dr.s and have never been to a University. Would they be lying if they say they have a "degree; in Medicine? I don't think so because they do have a degree of knowledge... so you see... all in this life is according to who says it and what they think about when they say it. It comes down to what you think. If you think you are lying then you are. :-) Great posts... I read a few and I like your sincerity.

I think your dad would understand your situation, if you decided to tell
him, since he is doing the same thing, about the same type of thing. But I understand, also, not telling. really, it's only your business, no one else's. Keep on truckin". (LMAO, my old hippie coming out in me...lol)
