It's not reality that disappoints, but unrealistic expectations...

trying to make something or someone be what you imagine they ought to be...  Resisting what they are... 

Your poem reminds me of these things.

Bravo!!!!! Violence is never the correct answer....
We need to respect things in the shape they are, not force them to be what we wish.  Eventually we find the piece we need anyway.  Great poem with a brilliant message
