I take a bucket. I fill it with sand. Turn it over. That's the extent of my sand castle.

Oh my gosh!  This is just too cool!!!  Now-I DO have one of my son I should post.  The girls buried him in the beach sand and made him into a mermaid, boobs and all!

To think someone sat there on the sand for the time it must have taken to create that  masterpiece is mind blowing!  What a true artist... to create for the sake of creating, knowing that the sea would sooner or later reclaim his sand and his masterpiece would be destroyed...  now that is true talent,  one that seeks no recognition from posterity but just wants to leave a simple admiring imprint on a passer by's imagination.  I am sorry to say that I am not even in the same ball  park where building sand castles is concerned.  My sand castle would be much more modest... but Gawd knows I have constructed hundreds of them over the years... perhaps not as fancy as I could have made them but they were all celebrated and adored by the toughest critics around... my kids  loll

Sand sculpture

Wow!  I like to think that I am also hugely artistic, but GASP!!! This "Artist" is a big SAND SCULPTURE untalented, HACK! If I had done this piece, it would have been censored, because the man would be wide awake, and certainly not holding a BOOK in his hand! How UNreal can one get?!!! And all this time, I had thought that Picasso and Dali were surreal!
