In religious studies your work falls into THEODICY, which has many meanings
but relevance here - how to explain the evil amid the benevolence and omnipotence of God. Church doctrines are compromises, and only needed by big, corporate religions, which reduce discussions ad controversy, from the Nicean Conference/Creed of 325 AD, and before as well as afterwards. The Persians had a great influence on this specific issue, and helped make Christianity different from Judaism too. The Zoroasterians beleived GOOD & EVIL were locked in a balancing act without a single winner, so Satan became a bigger figure and actor in the NT versus the OT. (This is my post in my Bible post today). Like Newton's attitide, and even that of Darwin and Galileo, I have a religious duty to study the secular well and objectively, yet I know My Creator God and His bounless Love for His Creation through my Savior Jesus Christ, the Ransom of the sinful world. Amen!

Religious Dogma has created fear and dread and
this prevents us from living in the moment of Love. Fear and Love cannot exist within the same moment. We do interact with angels daily if we are aware of what to look for. My Mom stopped by for a visit yesterday to help give me strength to carry on. She turned on the stereo downstairs and played a very special CD. "River of Life"

I must agree about the cities.
The same as in the days of Noah, the cities are filled with corruption, but now, even the country is becoming dangerous.
We can only trust in the Lord. Thanks for sharing.
