I have a feeling this was the beginning of the story of his life.

We don't have to think about it. We already know. We've seen it too many times before.

I have it down to a science. Often when I'm with Queen V, I make up elaborate stories about people we see.

I bet the lad is tugged and pulled throughout his day! Very nice re-creation of the events! sam

I was there, in the diner with you, watching from a corner booth.
Love the starved link between the two characters. You almost don't want to think about what happens next for either of these poor souls.

write on!

Felt like I was there Talion....
....and I do that with people...try to imagine the lives they've led. You've got me feeling badly for the little boy...so much so that I can see him smiling at you and then being dragged off to who knows what kind of life. Very vivid!

Excellent writing!
You draw a vivid picture. Makes me want to take that mother and show her what proper love and care for her son looks like! Thanks for an enjoyable reading experience.
