Funny you should say that Fledging Phoenix
I saw my psychiatrist this evening and she was asking me whether she should put "depression" on my note for work. I told her she could say pregnancy but they probably wouldn't believe it.:)

I KNOW what you are going through...
I was on Wellbutrin for the first few months of my pregnancy (safe during pregnancy for anyone thinking about chiming in on the dangers of meds in utero) and insomnia was a big side effect for me. On the flip side, I saw a major increase in sex drive...lol. The only really negative side effect I can report is that it made me just plain stupid. I had a terrible time trying to recall simple words. I knew what I was trying to say but lacked the ability to retrieve words from memory. That was pretty frightening to me.  Of course, being pregnant also makes one kind of a "space cadet" because of the massive influx of hormones, but Wellbutrin certainly didn't help. It also made me very aggressive, but I certainly wasn't depressed...lol. I stopped taking it after four months because of the "dinginess" factor.  Hopefully, it will work better for you!

I echo Sam's sentiments. I used to have insomnia but take Melatonin now. I am so glad I no longer have it.
