You have to give
Funky Town a pass. It's disco, meant to dance to rather than passively listen to. Dance music is never deep or meaningful. It's hard to think of the worst song ever. I erase the truly awful from my mind until I'm cursed to hear it again. If I had to answer, I'd say about 80% of rap music and 100% of Air Supply.

On MacArthur's Park, I have heard that it was written about his mom whom he lost when he was a teenager. He wrote the song when he was quite young too! The recipe being gone is quite poignant for me! No one to bake the cake again, a young man's sadness in metaphor! sam
But I agree, on the worst list! Maybe I will put MacArthur's Park out for you tomorrow. lol
