Makes me remember.....
back when.  It was Poppa who rode the bus to our house and got off the bus in front of our house and walked slowly up to the house. The first thing he would ask me was, "son, you want some wax?" Wax is what he called chewing gum and I always wanted some wax. Memories live on long after our loved ones.

You sat on the woodpile, I sat on a rock overlooking the main road, or on the boughs of a mango tree!

Your Grandma did get there eventually...and Grandma's have a way of making everything right in the world. Oh yeah, to be 3 again. Such a precious age, so full of smiles and newness. Enjoyed this wonderful memory Merkie. Now I'm drifting...on memory lane.
