Relax, catch your breath and do what you feel like you must do. Don't have a heart attack in the process. Have a better day today.

Only because he is brown and I am so white
it is only a reflection of their prejudices and in part coloured (there is a delicious irony in the use of that word) by their attitudes towards people who are let's say it, abit more sun tanned than they are.

I cannot believe that people would tell a child their parent is not theirs! Especially a mother! That is just incredulous behavior! Your son is entitled to all the rights and privileges of anyone else! Don't let him be denied! As for the nuns too bad, you believe what you believe!

Sam that was a quick comment
so down at the moment. Someone said I should sue the school for discrimination, but what is the point? what can I do? Nothing really and would I want him in such a toxic atmosphere where he is not really wanted?
Looked I coped for two years in a christian boarding school where they literally loathed he sight of me. I was locked in fruit cellars, sent to psychiatrists and had detentions almost for two years. What I came away with was the ability to withstand the crap of other people and with my own set of spiritual beliefs intact. I learnt to stand up for what I believe in but I was older than Nir is and had a supportive Dad and grandmother, but a Mum who would have had me committed to a mental institution because a stupid High Church of England Nun thought there was something wrong with me because I don't believe JC is the messiah.
I think the atmosphere is toxic. He has already been told I am not his real mother and I had to sit and show him pictures of me pregnant with him and reassure him that I am his real mum.

It happens all too frequently! You are your son's best advocate and I would not rest until he gets everything he needs to be successful! Everyone wants the easiest student, but I say the student who gives the challenge brings out the best in the educator! sam
