Skating on the Rideau is on my list!!!!!!!!
I have always always wanted to do this!! And have a beaver tail too!! The scene on my desk calendar this month is a sketch of people skating on the Rideau. Sounds like it was a beautiful day and what a perfect perfect way to spend Family Day!!!
Someday I'll get there! Silly thing is I only lived about 5 hours from Ottawa and while I've been to the city several times...never to skate! I once was on a boat on the canal...I think I was about 12!

I hope work went well! What a great family activity! I miss skating, we have an indoor facility! Skating has always been an outside activity for me! sam
