Oh, and Wednesdays, when I babysit a grandson and granddog, puppy,
she sits up and begins to stare at and talk to the front door of the house at about the time that my son leaves his work, 25 minutes away. She does other things, but periodically stops all and just stares at the front door, even though she knows that he comes in the garage door to the house.

When he hits the corner of the street, she is at his door wagging her tail and when he pushes the remote for the garage door opener, she is dancing.

I don't care if you never comment upon our comments. I enjoy the read.
I love the way that you write and I am grateful that you find the time to write what I love to read. Thanks.

And, Spanish has basically been the first language of Florida since the '50s or thereabouts. All the Caribbean nations that don't speak French, speak Spanish and they are contributing to the immigration in Florida. Before that it was mostly older Jewish people from the north and they weren't having babies.

So, the natural progression of things just "naturally progressed" and Spanish proliferated. Lots of Brasilians there, too, speaking Portuguese and it sounds like Spanish.

The difference between the Mexican immigrants that people are so used to in the rest of the country and the Spanish speakers in Florida, many fewer Mexicans, is that they are often of a higher socio-economic class than the Floridians already there.

They have the self-assuredness of the higher classes and treat the commoners around them accordingly. They are bi-lingual and most Floridians are mono lingual and they feel superior in that way, too.

We have two separate countries within the US and California and Florida are those countries.

I think all animals have a 6th sense of sorts...
dogs run to the window long before their master comes home...some can detect a seizure before it happens to their owner or if there is something about to happen. My Mom's cats even run to the door long before she pulls into the drive way. It's weird. Great story ! 300 lbs...wow !  lol

Wilbur in Miami! Did he ever make headlines in the Herald? I love this story. On another note: I just had friends from England staying with me. It was the frist time ever they had been to the US and, of course, they had to hit Miami! I asked them when they left what their most lasting impression would be. You know what they said? "Nobody speaks English."

Wilbur the pig

      Mulie,

I love your story about your pet pig! It takes me back to the days that we had Barbie and Lumpy. Keep the episodes coming!

Muley - have just read your last two chapters, and am loving this story. I think we're all quite taken with Wilbur! Can't wait to see the pictures! Also know what you mean about trying to get into Blogit while working so many hours. But I, too, look forward to reading your writing so, it there is a choice to be made - want the writing more than the comments! (Although I do like those too!!)

I just adore this now very large over sexed pot bellied pig so I'll read
on whenever you can write. There is a good book here. Sometimes it's just nice to read feel good animal storie about a creature that is well loved, a wee bit spoilt and inclined to rule the house. Over a million animal and birds perished in the Australian bushfires so this is a salve to my pain.

HI FROM THE NORTH
I live east of Rochester. So hello from your former neighbor. I have been enjoying reading about Wilbur and I hope you are enjoying the sunny weather in Florida. FYI - we did have sunshine today up here in the north.

I will read you even if you can't get around to visit.  I'm falling in love with Wilbur, I think.

re:pictures
we have pictures, but I guess I need to up grade my blogit subscription in order to put them up. I also need a scanner as most of them are old photos. I will try to rectify this as soon as possible.
