Re: universal conflict
Thank you Luz   I must confess the poem shows my honest belief in how we need to move forward and even if I sometimes fail to live up to it I still try

Re: Sinome
Thank you - glad you liked it!  Don't worry, it was not an argument between myself and my muse, inspiration came from a number of sources, partly a friend having an argument with somebody and partly the insanity that is international politics (for me the answer is always the same - what better way to deal with an enemy than to become friends?)

Re: Remember in school...
That is so true - and yet when we get older we remain enemies for much longer, how is it that children are so much more wise than adults and nations?

Re: Merkie
I think that slowly, one person at a time, society is moving away from violent answers. So hopefully this can be true on a personal level now and a national one some day soon

Re: "In the name of the Lord...Let us all yield...Drop those shields...
thank you, Ash, I think this one had been building a while and was influenced by so many conflicts - personal and in the news.

universal conflict
i enjoyed the whole poem in its urgency, and the way you twisted the ending into something sweet like friendship. anyone can take good things and perverse them to tragedy, but it is a rare talent to turn turmoil into something optimistic.

Never heard wiser words...  Great poem Lion... I hope written for a friend not personally for you love too deep and too well to be in that position and unless you are with a marble statue, I can't imagine you guys fighting... not after your poems...  so... no matter who it was written for, it is excellent!  Loved it!

Remember in school...
if you ever got into a fight with someone...they usually became your best friend.
