There is no death for a believer
In John Jesus talks about being the resurrection and the life and if a man believes in him - he will never die. How can this be? I have a story to share about how I really came to believe this in a different way. Yes, our bodies die, but WE never die. We will live somewhere after Death, so it is a really good idea to think about it ahead of time.

I go in for making hay while the sun shines! Too much too busy now to start worrying about death. Life is here to be enjoyed. Hope you are going to have a really enjoyable day today.

Over-attachment to one's body is the root cause of fear of death...
realization that one's true self is one's soul / spirit, which is immortal, reduces / eliminates that fear! - Ash

I completely agree and like to make sure folks who attend the funerals I take, understand this. It's one of the few times people actually think about their own demise.

I would rather learn all I can about today
than try and guess what tomorrow will bring.

Dave, My father always said the same thing. He lived a full life and when I
asked him about his departure from this earth "I don't expect to be around forever, so I won't be disappointed when my time comes." IR

Very true---we get so caught up with life that we forget we are on a journey, and have to reach the destination. Thanks for commenting on my post. Nita.

The Void--
Great post. It's so interesting to me to watch my contempoaries age. It's easy to see when they start to confront their own mortality. Some are older than me and STILL haven't started to deal with it.
Ta for the comment re my post.Cheers!

Some people are ready.
I work in health care and I have been at the bedside of some of those who felt they were ready. They had everything in order and were just waiting. There are also those who think about what they will do the next day, only to go to sleep and never wake up again. I hope I'll get to organize and be prepared for that day before my time. Great post!
