Re: Dear Ex Turpi
I have driven on New Jersey Highways.  But neither the A C Expessway, nor the N J Turnpike have No Turn On Red Signs...but if they did, wouldn't that make driving those roads interesting?

Probably you have never driven on the New Jersey Highways. You are indeed a lucky man.

Yes! I can drive due to seizures and would gladly put up with a few irritants once in a while! But I do see your points, it would be very frustrating! sam

Re: not to be too serious but
that blinking yellow may have meant proceed with caution..which in itself is scary..if opposing traffic had blinking red and were supposed to stop, then proceed with caution..and they also did not know...then I don't even want to think about it.  The other thought would be the next time a light blinks at you, then blink back!!

Turning on red, turns my knuckles red, too!

Before Michigan changed our law allowing police to ticket unbelted people to be ticketed, only for that, a state cop told us that he pulled us over for failing to signal before turning on red. This allowed him to ticket us for a seatbelt violation, (out of the goodness of his heart) instead of writiing us up for a MOVING VIOLATION. Years later, I learned that signaling a turn from the right lane is not required. He lied about this, in order to ticket us for seatbelts!

I'm from New York State (read: not New York City). Several years ago I was in New Jersey on business and i remember driving down the street in this small city/town and the street lights were on the side of the road, not overhead. This threw me. Then to make matters more complicated, SOME of the yellow lights blinked. What the heck does that mean? LOL I had a co-worker with me that had been living there for over a year and I said, "What do I do? What does that mean?" and He says, "I dunno." Great. I still don't know what a blinking yellow means. Do you?
