I'm also an alto, or so it has been said. I almost NEVER find the right note! Thank goodness we have a fabulous church choir and a magnificent 100+ year old pipe organ that can really bellow. I've been known to lip synch in church. LOL. I'm glad you got your bike fixed. Now you will be tooling all over England.

This would be me attempting to sing.
