Believe me folks, I hated the fast baths
It was just the full time job, 3 kids, long drive to work, thing that made me do it. If I tried it now, someone would have to call the paramedics.

So am I! And the first step to a more leisurely shower experience: get a fixed shower head...

Like Taps I’m not good at hurrying. So unlike you and scotcanada, I think I’ll stick to allowing myself 2 hours to shuffle through my morning routine. And should this routine be tampered with I become quite bitchy so watch out.

As a kid I slept until the last split second, then ran for the school bus,
with mama yelling behind me that I hadn't eaten breakfast. It took me between 30 seconds and a minute to dress then, splash water in my face at the kitchen sink, comb my hair. We lived in a little house "3 rooms and a path" with no indoor bathroom, so there was no shower. Got that in gym class. I can still get ready to go in two or three minutes -- after the shower and shampoo process which is almost exactly like the one you described. Good on us, conserving water... what a fun post!

Eeewww, I don't like being in a hurry like that. It has happened a few times, but I like taking plenty of time in getting ready to go someplace.

Kudos!!
I love your suggestions! And thank you for extending my thoughts. I see that as a real complement. Sometimes an idea hits you + you write it , kind of to get RID of it. When someone else responds, as you have, it's a great feeling. Your grey matter + mine, briefly connecting through an idea! Wonderful.
Thanks so much for this.
