As a reformed smoker who has turned into a zealous (some say
overly zealous, lol) opponent of smoking, I completely agree with you. There is no doubt - research has shown conclusively that second-hand smoke is harmful. And I even find the smell obnoxious. You should not have to put up with that, and I would definitely take it up with the building's management!

Your son's comment was good. I'm a smoker, but won't light up inside if there are non-smokers around. I prefer outdoors (even in Canadian winters) because I don't like the smell of it in my house either!

I love the comparison. I am an occasional smoker, but I take good care not to let it seep anywhere and I simply hate the smell of stale smoke. Your situation must be dealt with, it's disgusting.

Nope....tried it for about 4 weeks and didn't see any reason to keep it up..... I grew up with both parents as smokers......it was just a question to get a bit of perspective, usually, some of the most vehement anti-smokers are former smokers.
What I don't understand is why they just don't just outlaw smoking.....instead of making one who smokes feel like a criminal or a leper. Actually, I do understand the real reason....tax revenues....but I think it is amazing what smokers go through to use something that is perfectly legal.......JMHO

Nop, Corbin, I've never smoke in my life. Don't like the smell of it or the way my father used to cough and "clean up" his throat in the bathroom sink!
I dated one guy who was an heavy smoker and yep, kissing him was LIKE licking the bottom of an ashtray (it was enough NOT to want to date a smoker ever again). Why the question? Are you a smoker?
