The only good point I have read about pumps, is apparently the air can't get in, so every time you pump you get a fresh pure bit of cream which hasn't been contaminated by the air, which is better for your skin. Whether, this is a whole lot of baloney to sell their pumps, who knows.

There is another thing about pump bottles that I hate. The stuff in the bottle has a tendency to collect and dry around the dispenser's end. Then, at a certain point that causes the squirt to go cockeyed instead of just where it is supposed to go. A friend of mine had a product squirt right into her eye and she had a time of it for a while.

sometimes the pumps don't work right or quit working all together...I hate that.
