How come when the dog does that, it's at worst excusable and
occasionally even cute, yet when I do it, it's 5-10 years in the state pen?

The slippery floor syndrome is not reserved for women. I wear cowboy boots and the worst thing is a rainy day because most certainly the floor and/or my feet will get wet. I've yet to bust my ass, but if I had a dime for each time I caught myself and pinched that nerve or whatever in my lower back...
