Um, yeah.  That's kind of my point.  Saying that a rapper celebrating his and the president's blackness proves politics is not 'post-racial' is like pointing to 'House' as an illustration of medical ethics and practice.

Rappers are popular because they express people's feelings! It's not an 'intellectual' enterprise at all, the kind cartoonists are usually engaged in. And whether or not they carry more weight depends on whom you ask...
