I love the choice....she has a "59" Liberal rating, has pissed Pelosi off over the bailout and Gun Legislation.....so she's as good as can be expected from New York........It's certainly better than that airhead Kennedy.........she had less experience than even Obama.......LOL!

I can appreciate your affirmation for the new senator from NY, but I will say that nostalgia, gender, color or creed does not make someone a leader. I like Caroline Kennedy, but she has done nothing to deserve consideration for a high office. Let her start with the city council, zoning commission or at least the PTA before she is thrust into a position that she unqualified for. The Kennedy name is the only thing that most people see. The newly appointed senator ma be a good fit. Let's hope!

I didn't want Caroline Kennedy. I'm glad Patterson chose someone with experience. Gender didn't matter.
