..I agree!  Kids need to find their own way...there's one thing called guidance and another called pushing.  I had a friend her puts her kids into every activity possible...then I mentioned the book called The Hurried Child.

I've just read your profile and all I can say is:    Oh and I didn't start writing for publishing until I turned 50.  Lots of time for you!

I like simple too! I don't think it is wise to force a child to do something they do not want to do! It will foster resentment! sam

I agree 100%. Forcing will only cause resentment.

yes I find it sad, my grandchildren don't have time for me to visit them
even if I were still in Australia. They are into every activity after school and on the weekends. They never stop.

It sounds like maybe mama.....
fell one too many times while on the ice. Children that young should be taught well but not pushed into something like this.  People are sometimes a little weird.
