In India too, we were following the great event on TV. How good of you to make time for all the visits during that time. What Joan said is so true! God bless. Nita.

We were glued to the TV also most of the day
Vote Obamaat least for the swearing in and parts of the parade and the balls.  Everyone I've heard from is praying for Obama and his success.  I think your prayer is just as important, if not more.  An answer to your prayer would make his endeavors easier.  The amazing story is the peacefulness of the day with 2 million people all moving in the same directions.  It is truly a proud and historic day for us and there seems to be a peacefulness that has settled around us.

Joan seems to be on the right track and there on many all over the world who have gone their own way and have yet to come back. Lots of prodigals need our prayer.  I enjoy your blog always.  Blessings!

Joan reminds me of a quote I have been thinking of lately:
We need love the most when we deserve it the least.

Your story of your day was wonderful. It seems such a different kind of day than here in the states. However, I also appreciate that there are others around the world that are "hopefully" celebrating with some of us,anyway. I know there are those who are against Obama, but I hope they can find a way to move forward even if he wasn't the person they voted for. BTW - my family hails from Liecestershire (spelling, unsure) - my father's grandparents immigrated from there about 1872. Are you anywhere near there?
