I was pleasantly surprised to hear prayers in almost every venue. God has put him in office and who am I to disrespect that. I hope I have been wrong about him. I don't know about that but I do know he and the Nation needs change. God says 'if my people' will repent and change their ways I will forgive them and heal their land. He is not talking about the people that all of us blame all the time. He is talking about the Jews and Christians. We are His people and we need to live as such. God bless you dear one. ILU

You are so right. The sad thing about the Bush administration was the anger, hurt, vulgar vilifying of the man no matter what he did. I hope this will not happen here, he is already there.

You are so right. And wasn't the prayer. . .
so beautiful today that Rick Warren prayed?  I was so touched as I prayed along with him.  I will be praying for Obama every day that he's in office, even though I prayed that he would not be elected in the first place.  I will pray for his family and for this nation each day, as well.  Thank you for posting this.  I believe we should all be doing this, every day. . . and that we really should have been doing this all along for every president.  I am still such a baby Christian, but I am becoming more aware, and I am blessed to have you, a Titus woman, to learn from.

You are so right. That was such a problem the last eight years. Those who were not Republicans were angry the whole eight years.

We as Americans should all pray and support our President
Dr Martin Luther King no matter the party.  We can agree to disagree but come together as one for our country.

I don't think color ever mattered to most people. I think it was fear of his heritage not his color. His associates, his angry religion etc., But he has been elected. It is my duty to pray for him, not against him.

All I have heard lately is negative stuff about him
then again, most of those people are prejudice...and I wonder why I listen to them sometimes?  Anyway, the thing we need to do now is to support our president.  It won't help him do his job with everyone being so negative.  Color doesn't matter to me.  He's our president now...let's do everything we can to give this guy a warm welcome.
